Why do you do the work you do?
I enjoy making people smile and laugh and especially teaching them new things; it is a real joy to see their faces light up when they accomplish something they were not expecting.
What do you enjoy most about your work?
I enjoy making the members laugh, engage and feel special. I enjoy giving the caregivers peace for a safe place for their loved ones.
Why is the type of work you do so important?
1) It gives the members a feeling of belonging and acceptance, and 2) it gives the caregivers hope for being able to care for their loved ones and a connection to others at this stage in life.
What difference do you feel our service – and your work – makes for those we serve and their loved ones?
For the members, it continues to make their lives fulfilling and gives caregivers a sense of relief and hope for more quality time with their loved ones.
